Oyster River Pages is a literary and artistic collective seeking submissions of fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, and visual arts that stretch creative and social boundaries.
“We believe in the power of art to connect people to their own and others’ humanity. Because of this, we seek to feature artists whose voices have been historically decentered and marginalized. In addition to regular submissions, we are temporarily seeking submissions for our themed issue, Delta, which is reflective of change, transformation, expansion, unification, and of the liminal spaces between land and water.

“What gnaws at your bones? little somethings press: a collection of small writings is seeking all things flash and micro—memoir, fiction, and poetry—that delve into the grittiness and beauty (why not make room for some optimism) of modern life. Confessions, rants, lessons learned, rebirths, regrets, and anything else are welcome as long as they fit on one page. Prose is limited to 250 words. Poets can submit up to 4 micro poems of 50 words each, or one poem no longer than 15 lines.”

Call for Submissions: FAWLT MAGAZINE
DEADLINE: For Dependence: March 15, 2018.

FAWLT magazine is an online, quarterly journal seeking short stories, poems, essays, photographs, and animated works that deal with human flaws.
Each issue of the magazine will focus on a single, undesirable characteristic, exploring such issues as: who is affected by it, the impact on individuals, in which circumstances it can be especially bad (or actually good), and any other aspect of the flaw that that may be worth investigating.
Their call:
We seek previously unpublished prose, poetry, and art that incorporate these characteristics in funny or sobering ways. Ultimately Fawlt hopes to offer an entertaining look at human frailty and a serious consideration of some of our more unpleasant traits. Please do not send more than three prose pieces or
five poems at a time.
