About Place Journal Call for Submissions: Infinite Country
Deadline: August 1, 2019
Each issue of About Place Journal, the arts publication of the Black Earth Institute, focuses on a specific theme.
“From 6/1 to 8/1 we’ll be accepting submissions for our Fall 2019 issue Infinite Country: Deepening Our Connection to Place, Culture and One Another. Our mission: to have art address the causes of spirit, earth, and society; to protect the earth; and to build a more just and interconnected world. We publish prose, poetry, visual art, photography, video, and music which fit the current theme.”
More about this issue’s theme and submission guidelines can be found at aboutplacejournal.org/submissions/.

rinky dink press: call for micropoetry
Deadline: July 31, 2019
rinky dink press is now accepting micro-collections of 5-6 thematically related micro-poems (i.e. poems consisting of up to 40 words each) for our Fall 2019 series, which will feature 10 single-author collections in 2.75 x 4.25 format (yeah, it’s a tiny little thing called a microzine!). Poems can form a cohesive narrative or adhere loosely to a theme of your choosing. Most importantly, we privilege finely-crafted verse, conscientious in its intent. Please send your submission of 5-6 micropoems in a single word doc to rinkydinkpress@gmail.com. For more information about our press, visitwww.rinkydinkpress.com. Random Sample Review, an online literary and arts journal, is accepting submissions for its Summer 2019 issue.
“We accept poetry, fiction, nonfiction, art, and hybrids. Keep in mind that we are currently short on work written by POC, women, LBTQ folks, and people with disabilities and are particularly interested in seeing work from these communities. For everyone else, please do not let this deter you from submitting. We want your work, too!”
To be considered for the Summer issue, please submit by June 10th. All other submissions will be considered for the Winter 2020 issue.
